I have been a Miles supporter throughout his tenure at LSU. However, I cannot gloss over or make excuses for LSU's performance against Louisiana Tech. Despite the victory, it was obvious that LSU was very unprepared and unmotivated to play. And, in my opinion, there is no excuse for that type of performance against an inferior opponent, especially when the head coach is getting paid approximately $4 million per year.

The losses to UF and Bama, I think, are mostly acceptable, considering UF and Bama are generally regarded as the best two teams in the country. However, Ole Miss is an opponent not as good as UF and Bama, and an opponent LSU must beat to remain as a viable top ten program. Because of this, I think the outcome of this weekend's game against Ole Miss, in many respects, is more important to the future of Les Miles and the LSU football program than the UF and Bama games. My fear is that if LSU loses to Ole Miss, then LSU will lose to Arkansas, which will mark two straight late season swoons. One year could be an aberration, two years marks a trend.

This thread is not intended as a flame, but a genuine concern for LSU remaining a top ten program. What say you?
I agree completely. Miles' needs to show that his team can pull out of the funk that it's been in for basically the last 2 years.
