1) a good offensive cordinator
2) a good pass rush

This defense would be sick if it had a good pass rush! Could you imagine the INT that would come about if we could get pressure on the qb
Our offense has so much wasted talent its just sickening watching how bad its being wasted. We arent playing to our strengths, its that plain and simple.

The defensive line problems is talent IMO and not coaching. Our dlinemen are just to big and lack that quick initial burst. I am hoping that Downs, Nevis and Montgomery will fix this next year.
I hope that Les can address the OC situation next year but I highly doubt it. If the offense can produce these next 2 games then I can see it but as of now I think we are stuck with Cowton for another season.

the years where you have everything is the years that are special. We don't have that this year. Neither does bama.

Sam Montgomery, Lavar Edwards, Drake Nevis, etc. will be a force.

Kelvin Sheppard and whichever 2 LB's we stick next to him might be a problem, but Chavis knows LB's probably better than any aspect of D. He sure as hell has had some great ones.

I agree Pisces
Nevis, Downs, Montgomery will have an awesome initial burst and Davenport will pull alot of double teams imo.
I look for our line to be special the next couple of years, esp if we can land Hunter, Johnson and Rasco.

I think a good QB coach should fix most of our offensive problems.

the D is going to be even better next year and i hope Claiborne get some PT and Davenport.

Offense is getting an enormous overhaul, LSU makes too much money to not fix this. The D problem was basically fixed in a year.

IMO it shouldn't be that hard to give the offense new life

Pass rush? Really? We haven't been able to stop the run all year and you're worried about the pass rush?

We are missing a QB with EXPERIENCE. JJ is good and can be an adequate SEC QB, but won't be without more experience. JR-SR QB is key to winning a NC. Don't bring up TBOW, he's unique.

This. If JJ receives some good coaching, need a QB coach, to go along with his natural progression that he has been showing, he can be a top SEC QB before he leaves. He has all the tools, he just needs an adequate QB coach to help him develop.

Is not going to solve the ck with me, too many men, not enough men, illegal formation problems on the field.

I agree. Although I think with a more seasoned QB, we won't have to stick with the check with me type of playcalling, which in turn will decrease the amount of times we are rushing to get a play off. This is the main cause of the penalties IMO and I think having an experienced QB who knows the playbook will allow them to get on the field and run through their checks, make their shifts, and still not have to worry about a delay of game penalty. These guys are rushed constantly and the majority of these penalties can be avoided by giving the players time.
