Matt Zemek of collegefootballnews.com seems to agree that there were errors after looking at this thread.

The errors are clear and overwhelming. I spent my whole feature column last Thursday explaining why Big Ten replay-booth failures were so important and worthy of further examination.

thanks!

Matt

If we win the next three games, that will be 2 times in 4 years that we will have lost out on an opportunity to play in the National Title game because of official's errors while playing a game in the state of Alabama.

I hate being a "bitch" or a "whiner" about this, but shutting up and letting it go is EXACTLY what the crooked motherfrickers want us to do so they can go about their business of preselecting the Top 2, even when it endangers the players by allowing dangerous contact to stand.

They could use clips of these ref's calls from the SEC for those Buffalo Wild Wings commercials where they tell the ref to blow a call in the replay booth

You need to crop those spearing pics. Dworaczyk's holding.
That int. non reversal may be the worst in history.

Sorry if already covered, but can someone tell me what video the officials use to review plays? Do they even look at the CBS or network video. Also, is the "official" review tape available to coaches so they can determine how egregious the blown calls are? Thanks.

JP, I deleted the game on my dvr, but they are replaying it on CBSC, so I am going to rewatch it and point out a few more. The holding was terrible. Those are the ones I saw a lot and were not called.

A lot of missed calls but they exist on both sides. They didn't call holding against either team. Even in the photo here (the apparent spearing), you can see LSu player #68 clearing holding the Bama player #25. Two major violations were ignored that aided LSU's first TD drive. For whatever reason, the officials just didn't hardly throw flags - on either team. The spot after running into the kicker was bad. But if it was a conspiracy, they would have falled roughing the kicker. I think running into the kicker was the correct call but I've seen roughing called for a lot less. You could fill a thread with LSU violations that went uncalled if you tried.

The thing that doesn't make sense for me is this:

LSU is a premier program. We have 2 MNC's in the last 6 years. Why would the SEC intentially take us out to prop up Bama?

Bama isn't THAT much more popular/powerful as we are. If we had won that game we'd have been just as legit as Bama in the MNC/BCS hunt.

So I don't know if I get the conspiracy theories - I think they were just hometown calls.

Not going through all the pages and reading it but hopefully this hasn't already been brought up. The worst thing about all of this is media outlets across the country have wanted to bring the SEC off the top perch cause they want their conference up there. All these bad calls are doing is giving them a way to bring the SEC down.

Inarguable post. Note the absence of ESPN commentary. There is none.
