I honestly try not to compare the two guys because they're so different in their "coaching styles." It's like comparing a coach and a GM.

This is exactly my point. Saban is a hell of a coach, but his egotism prevents him from giving a damn if he's not playing for a National Championship (see Iowa '04 and Utah '08).
