Turner had a break out game against us. I know Ellis is out, but it seemed that we did not make first contact untll turner was a yard down the field. I don't remember many tackles for a loss against turner. Seems like Atl o line took care if business..... Anybody concerned about Williams and Stewart ???

Delhomme will negate any effective running game the Panthers might have with a minimum of two Int's. Not too worried.

Absolutely especially with Fujita and Ellis out, and anyone who says otherwise is lying.

But I also think we'll do a decent enough job to contain them and jump ahead on them early enough to force Delhomme to try to win it for them, and that can't be done.

If it happens again..yes. One game is not a trend.

I don't take being called a liar lightly.
A lot of Turner's success was the result of bad angles and piss poor tackling, two things that I expect to be remedied for Sunday's game. Until we prove for once that we can stop him, I'm more nervous about Steve Smith to be honest.

You just said Jake will have a bad game, if he does then that will have a direct correlation to steve smith no producing. Do you think Williams or Stewart will have over 100 yds? TD??

This was a huge problem. If they don't right this for this game, it will worry me......but just a little.

yes, remember a lot of our defensive game plan is still structured around the offense scoring and forcing other team to play catch up.

Atlanta showed what happens when the game is close or the other team has a lead, and commits to the run(unlike Miami)

Sed Ellis, and Fujita being out only exacerbates the situation.

Have you not watched the Panthers over the past four seasons? Smith gets his despite Delhomme.

I'm not concerned near as much with this as I am the game coming up. With Ellis up the gut and Fugita on the outside I think our run defense is as good as any out there, and the stats the first part of the year backed that up.

Steve smith is ranked number 30 in the NFL. 5 tight ends are ahead of him. If he had another quarterback the his numbers would be better. LINK

I think Ellis is the big part that we were missing and it was compounded with Fujita being out.

I asked in another thread, but no one answered: Does anyone think they bring DeMario Pressley up from the practice squad to add some bulk at the DT position?

Not worried about the Vikes in the playoffs. Ellis and Fujita should be back before then. That will bring the D back up to speed.

Who would we cut to bring Pressley up?

I don't know, but I did see alot of Clancy/Ayodele fronts against the Falcons. Usually, it would be Ellis and either or...not both. Also, is Hargrove poo-poo against the run? Why didn't I see him alot? Maybe I missed it. Anyone can correct me on this.

Smith's production has been down this year because of Delhomme. Here's an interesting LINK

Who gets cut for Pressley in that situation?

I'd rather play Grant at a few snaps at DT...

Jeff Duncan says we're probably gonna have to bring Pressley up because he thinks Clancy's gonna be out this week
