LSU has one of the best defenses in the country. The offense appears to be improving. LSU has destroyed it's last 4 bowl opponents, in large part because they couldn't begin to deal with our wide receivers. I heard the same nonsense from Miami, ND, tOSU, and Ga Tech fans. Big 10 teams generally do not do well in bowl games against quality opponents. The Big Ten has not won a Rose Bowl since 1999. Do you really think they would have done better against the SEC champion in the last 10 years. Why is the Big Ten so against a playoff? Yeah, right, the Rose Bowl is so important. Or maybe you wouldn't see another team in the Championship game for quite a while.

Iowa reminds me of that NYJets team a few years back that started 8-0 and won in the absolute ugliest fashion imaginable.
They finished 10-6 and did not make the playoffs, I believe.
