LSU hasn't beaten anyone? Who is "anyone"? Who the hell has Iowa beaten? Besides Florida, Alabama and Texas, who else has seperated themselves at this point?

The schedules are made years in advance. Within those schedules, LSU is required to play all of its SEC West opponents plus three from the SEC East. Is it LSU's fault that UGA and Auburn are down a little this year? Is it LSU's fault that Washington and Ms. State are improved? LSU is playing the teams set on its schedule and right now LSU stands at 7-1 and still controls its own destiny. How many other teams in the country besides Florida, Alabama and Texas can say that? Not even Iowa can say that because if LSU wins out, then I guarantee you LSU will jump Iowa even if Iowa finishes undefeated.

And, no, I am not a fan who believes the performance against Florida was a moral victory. But I also don't think losing to the number one team in the country is a disgrace or that it makes our team suck or that it ruins the season. Unlike you, I believe LSU has a lot left to play for and the ability to achieve those goals.

If you think LSU sucks so much and Iowa is a better program, then switch your allegiance to Iowa. You think LSU sucks at 7-1? Then you are really in for a disappointment if you think Iowa can match LSU's success year in and year out in football.

I never said LSU completely sucks and I don't think iowa is a better program. I was just saying to keep to the point.....someone is trying to talk about this year but you can't keep to it because you can't say much. This isn't about who has seperated themselves or anything. The only reason we control our destiny is because we haven't played bama or arky yet. I hope we win out and go to the secCG, I really do. We do have a lot left to play for but I just can see the writing on the wall. The offense has had its chances against terrible defenses and hasn't done much, the only reason we have the record we do is because of our defense. That is the truth......if you can't handle it keep talking about 07, which btw wouldn't have been our title if not for Dennis Dixon going down. That is also the truth. I love lsu but I am not going to make myself believe something that is false.

On that note I hope we beat bama in the worse way, they are ripe for a loss if our offense can do something. I believe in our defense.....

btw......Iowa has beaten three ranked teams so far. That doesn't mean they are the greatest but only one other team can say that, Oregon...who I believe is the hottest team in football and can beat anyone right now.

LSU has one of the best defenses in the country. The offense appears to be improving. LSU has destroyed it's last 4 bowl opponents, in large part because they couldn't begin to deal with our wide receivers. I heard the same nonsense from Miami, ND, tOSU, and Ga Tech fans. Big 10 teams generally do not do well in bowl games against quality opponents. The Big Ten has not won a Rose Bowl since 1999. Do you really think they would have done better against the SEC champion in the last 10 years. Why is the Big Ten so against a playoff? Yeah, right, the Rose Bowl is so important. Or maybe you wouldn't see another team in the Championship game for quite a while.
