Defenses do not trust Jefferson's arm so they load the box and stuff the run game.

If anyone knows anything about football, he realizes this has been a huge issue all year.

In games that Lee started, Scott averaged 96.7 ypg. In games that Jefferson has started, Scott has averaged 51 ypg.

There are 3 important variables you're leaving out in this comparison:

Brett Helms
Herman Johnson
Quinn Johnson

no it doesnt, because Scott averaged 28 yards against Arkansas, 10 against Ole Miss (Jefferson played most of the time but I did not include it in Scott ypg with Jefferson starting), and 65 in Peach Bowl.

Tigahs is right. The offensive line has changed so much. And last year, Charlie was a hoss. This year, we are changing the way we run with Shep, JJ, Chuck, Keiland, and Trindon. Don't get me wrong, its not like it wasn't this way last year, but Chuck's number of touches have gone down.

That and the fact that Scott and Dub look a little worn down and lack the burst of yesteryear

eta: let the younger, fresher RBs play more, imo

Football 101, QB isn't confident...load the box make him beat you with is arm. Before you read this...think about every football game with a young qb in the history of football.

Or it could be due to the fact that we are no longer a power running team that lines up in the I every down where the defense needs to equally respect us passing out of that formation as well..

As well as the predictable play calling in those formations.

Scott is built as good as a 3rd down back as I have seen... He's not a great fit in the system we are trying to run.

Yes, but the Lee 4 Heisman avatar makes you look unobjective.

Yeah, but you forgot all the other details that go along with your initial assumptions.

CS was worn down at the end of last year. KW didn't have a problem running on Arkansas (7-45 6.6 avg) GT (5-42 8.4 avg). What the hell do you want from a QB? JJ is 3rd in the SEC in pass effic. The problem is the middle of the line getting their butts whipped. He's completing over 63% of his passes. LSU is 2nd to last in passing attempts (25 attempts/game) just behind UF.

Also, what makes you think teams won't continue putting 8 in the box with JL in the game. They did in last year. Alabama has 8 men in the box last year but the OL and Quinn were moving them off the line. It's the OL and Crowton/Miles trying to run CS right up Hebert's butt.

You, sir, are the joke. Especially, your number of posts in a year's time. Really explains the quality of your posts or lack thereof.
