Call me a spoil sport, but the idea of drive thru alcohol just sounds terrible. The societal cost is not worth the convenience. Is this worse than a bar? Yes, placing the alcohol in the vehicle is ridiculous.

People want freedom, but sometimes the losses to our common good are too much. The cost of drunken driving is horrific, ask anyone who has lost someone.

Unless you are driving 30+ minutes from the drive through to where you are going you aren't going to get above the legal limit anyway. Plus you are more likely to be going home or somewhere you can stay if you are picking up the alcohol form a store which is much safer than drinking at a bar for a few hours then trying to drive home.

None of it is safe whether it be a bar or drive through. Drinking at home, bar, friends house, drive through and driving is not right.

That said, the daiquiri shop by the Winn Dixie on Airline, Prairieville has a drive through. I do on occasion stop run by after cutting the grass and get the wife and I one then drive home and sit by the pool. I don't put the straw in the hole until I'm parked in the garage.
