just like grades were supposed to be a major problem with Sentimore, Lacey, Dez Bryant, Noel Devine, etc etc. Most seem to find a way to qualify.

And there are also guys like Sheldon Richardson (top 10 national player last year) who don't qualify.

Besides, I don't think anyone rates Broussard as an impact player right now.

Patrick Hall, the number 19 player in the country, also didn't qualify. That makes two of the top 20 players from 2009 academically ineligible.

I didn't find him all that great honestly. I blocked him the majority of the game my junior year, and I'm no d1 athlete. However that was his sophmore year so I'm sure he is much better now.

Did you pancake him and rub your man juices on his jersey?

I've done this with these two players before too.

I guess it's the UT connection.

I don't think Freak is a grade concern.

I think hanging around with Benton for so long is having these coaches staying away from guys like those. Besides, we were taking a shot with Loston and it wound up working in our favor. That said, that is a lot of guys we passed on because of grades and maybe some of the more recent ones could be the collateral damage from waiting on Benton to qualify for 2 years.

I think a quick and easy rule of thumb would be:

No severe grade risks unless they are 5 star caliber players.

every school has different requirements. example: Phil Loadholt. wanted to come to LSU but couldnt get in. so he goes to OU, a school where he met the standard.

obviously it would be great to get both, but if you could only take one, who would you want?
