As a Saints fan I was like , good let em jump on if they want but this is just too much to swallow :

quote:

Go Saints?! Giving up on Cowboys. 18-Oct-09 11:37 pm I have always been a Cowboys fan, but I lived in New orleans for 7 years and the Saints have been my second Team. The Saints are awesome. The Cowboys sealed their fate when they brought back Wade Phillips. Jerry Jones has no clue what he is doing. They are likely toast. I now have a winner to support. There is nothing more I would like to see than the Saints winning the Super Bowl. It could happen this year. No self-respecting Saints fan would ever pull for the Cowboys. I could maybe see the old Houston Oilers because they were in different conferences and shared some players and coaches , but this type of nut-swinging pushes me over the top.

This.

I've spent my whole life watching Billy Joe after Billy Joe throw the ball to the other team, and having to deal with Cowboy bandwagon fans all around me talking shite. I've found myself not talking shite back to them now that the roles are reversed. I just smile and enjoy the ride.

I do laugh sometimes when I see Billy Joe Romo throwing the ball to the wrong team, though.

I'm older than 10. My friends and I started referring to all Saints QBs as Billy Joe. It didn't matter who they were because they were all the same. I was here for Jim Everett. Heath Shuler. Etc. The Billy Joe era does seem like it was longer ago, though.

No it's not. Sell that man some jerseys and hats. A small market team like the Saints can really benefit from the national merchandising that will come with the Payton/Brees Dynasty. Especially if the big market teams have their way and can get rid of the cap and shared revenues.

I agree let them join in for the ride. I do find it amusing though, when I hear callers on Richard Condon's show say they were Cowboy fans, now they are Colts fans. It reminds me of all the years I was going to school, most of the boys would wear the hats and shirts of the team that had won the super bowl, and then their allegiance would change the following year. Everyone loves a winner.
