When did we become a negative fanbase?

When did we become a negative fanbase? Is this a recent thing? I would think that most teams around the country would love to be ranked #9, and only one loss by 10 pts. to the #1 team in the country. I'm sure elite programs such as VA Tech, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Ohio St. would love to be where we are. But was there a time period where one loss and a top 10 ranking just wasn't acceptable anymore?

Again, a fan base is not negative when you point out actual issues....
If the reality is that LSU is underachieving on offense despite the talent it has then pointing that out isn't negativity....
By the way, the RealiTigers would also say that in his first year, Chavis has the LSU defense improved 100% thus far...

we are 5-1 yes. the way the team has played in those games though is not a good signal for things to come. will the offense we've put on the field be able to keep up with arkansas? is losing to arkansas 3 years in a row acceptable to you guys? i have no problem with losing to uf...they are the cream of the crop in CF this year. that being said, the product put out on the field by the offensive staff was a joke. the 2nd half of the schedule will be harder than the first, and to get wins against teams like Bama, Ark, OM, and even Auburn, we're going to have to see a massive change in not only the way we're playing, but how our coaches are gameplanning.

You're right, other teams would kill to have our talent on offense. They might actually make good use of it. We, on the other hand, waste it. I don't think it's "negative" to be annoyed that our amazingly talented receivers aren't seeing much action because of an idiotic quarterback.

bullshite. It is negative, when two seconds after a WIN, certain fair weather shite heads jump on here and scream for a dismantling of the team and coaching staff.
It is one thing to point out areas that need improvement. It is quite another, to come on here after a win and whine like a freaking three year old.

being happy with a win over msu after needing a miracle goal line stand should let everyone know we are on our way to mediocrity. don't get me wrong i was relieved we won the game, but it def. reflects our team and caoching staff have some major problems when compared to recent LSU teams of the past who competed for championships.

I agree with this statment. I have relatives and in-laws that are always in the glass is half empty about everything whether it is LSU or the state or whatever. Drives me up the wall.

a midseason record means jack.
It's not negative to want the coaching staff to earn their pay. recruiting the talent is part of the process, but not the end.
our players are giving effort. and we are satisfied with that. they are 18-22 year old kids.
you idiots who think we should just stay smiley faced while the team goes down the tubes need to stay tuned to saturday morning cartoons, and not worry about the football games in the afternoon.
you don't get it. 99% of us will be satisfied if our team gives it's all and the coaches are doing their jobs.
Looking at the body of work of this offense, you cannot say that the coaches have done their best.
If the so called negatigers didn't care and support this team, they would cheer for the Saints.
Quit criticizing legitimate criticism!
