The bad news is they lost to a Washington team that may finish with a losing record. That could weight them down like an anchor in the computers.

Washington aint bad

I realize that Wash beat USC, But LSU beating them will not help at all if Wsh finishes bad.

Good news/bad news

LSU is sitting pretty at #9. All they have to do is win football games, and they will be fine. Of course, they won't jump any of the undefeated teams, but they will remain near the top of the 1 loss pack if they can stay at 1 loss.

Washington probably plays the toughest schedule in the country. If they finish 6-6, it will be just as good as beating most 8-4 teams.

But that isn't the point really. LSU's SEC schedule is hard enough. They just needed an OOC schedule that isn't awful. Washington and ULL should finish respectable enough.
