To basically answer your other post, many of us take great joy in LSU's success, whether it's on the football field or other endeavors. LSU will still be LSU to me regardless if we reinstate Hallman as coach. It doesn't mean I should be happy about it though.
Saban has never stayed at any job more than 5 years, so I don't know anything about what would happen long term.
I do know that ignoring the last 19 games of LSU football isn't the right thing to do. Smoke Laval was in a similar position as Miles in baseball and some people simply enjoyed the early success without concern about the actual state of the program. Luckily he was replaced by a great coach.

Certainly the last 19 games are cause for concern. The last 7 look much better, however. I suppose that I am choosing to believe that we are on the upside of a turnaround from a bad season.
It's just the relentless negativity that I abhor. How can that be enjoyable for anyone to torture themselves so?
I find that when I invest and beleive, the reward for so doing in victory is far greater. Sure, it makes the disappointments more bitter, but I think the trade is worth it.
