You know absolutely zilch about football. Spikes is spying him and Hebert gets beat, but there is plenty of room to step-up. Spikes is 20 yards from JJ. Once he plants his back foot he immediately should begin to move forward.

The fricking video doesn't even show 20yds down field. Spikes is about 3 steps from the line of scrimmage and T-Bob got blown the frick up.

The second sack the ends just run around both tackles. No tackle on earth can block a DE that just has to run around you.

The second sack was worst. The entire line got pushed into the backfield. There's no way you honestly think he could've stepped up there.

Like I said...there really wasn't a "defined" pocket, but most of the blame for those sacks are squarely on JJ. He has tunnel vision and can't move in the pocket or progress from one receiver to another.

You just described about 90% of COLLEGE QBS. Hell, some NFL ones for that matter.

Most pre-snap reads tell you a lot about where you need to go with the ball. JJ just doesn't get it. I would venture to guess that JJ can't recognize zone or man in the pre-snap. This is the reason why he almost never throws the deep ball.

Now everyone on the rant is an expert at pre-snap reads? Holy frick... I've just about heard it all. Put the PS3 controller down my man.

There are people that actually have played organized football. Maybe not SEC caliber, but do understand how to read a defense and what JJ can do better.

We can agree to disagree on that one. But Spikes is spying the run he is no position to prevent JJ from stepping up in the pocket. You can even make the argument that JJ doesn't even know he's there.

Well, the Tiger fan base is getting pretty upset about the offensive production...and both Miles and Crowton, are feeling the heat. They damn well don't wont to go into the off season, with four loses.

That said, I must believe that they realize that there is going to have to be a drastic change. Personally, I don't think JL can stand the heat of the collapsing pocket; to bring him in now - in the teeth of the season - would be unfair to him. I cant help but think that Shepard can help. If that guy could take an option pitch and get to the outside...with the option to run or pass...how in the hell could a D deal with that threat. No thinking on the part of the young man, just insticnt...using his abundant God-given talents.

Book it...Miles/Crowton know that the status quo wont cut it. We can expect to see some open field stuff, in the next game.

And...Obama aint a Marxist
