but it is difficult to accept arguments against the D's capacity based on their performance against a #1 Florida.

That is why my previous statement sounded contradictary. I applaud the defense for playing hard, and they gave us a chance to win, but we caught some breaks to hold UF that low. I do see this defense improving each week, which is a big plus. However, Bama's offense has been very good, and if I had to rank the two teams, I would put Bama ahead of Florida. It would not be hard to imagine Bama's defense smothering our offense, especially with all of the sacks we've been giving up. If the offense is sputtering, Bama's offense will eventually wear down our defense. I am hopeful, but not optomistic.

Yeah I can see where you are going - I am hopeful too but with a bit more of optimism.

Given that our Running is yet to take off it doesn't matter if the opponent D suffocates us 100% or 120% - we have reached the limit.

When I watched the Bama games I noticed that their CBs and Safeties were not spectacular and that Florida had a better set of players.

So if we improve even just a little I think we can match up much better against them in the passing game.

I am hopeful that Miles would take this time to re-analyze the situation and get our O going and if the D retains their growth - we could be in for a good bowl at the end of the year.

Are you serious?!
Alabama's offense has been very good?!

5 red zone trips against Ole Piss = 5 FG = NOT that good!
