LSU's loss to Florida ejected them from the TigerDroppings.com Top 10 Poll. Alabama's victory over Ole Miss propelled them to a tie for first place with Florida.

Rank Team Points
1 (tie) Alabama (23) 416
1 (tie) Florida (20) 416
3 Texas (1) 350
4 Virginia Tech 274
5 Cincinnati 226
6 Boise State 181
7 Southern Cal 176
8 Ohio State 85
9 Iowa 83
10 Miami (FL) 68

Others receiving votes:
LSU (56), TCU (39), Oregon (31), Nebraska (9), Kansas (4), South Carolina (3), South Florida (3)

Note about the TD.com Top 10: We have assembled the finest group of pollsters to evaluate the college football season and tell the world who they think are the 10 best teams each week. These aren't biased journalists or even coaches with agendas...these are real Americans who love College Football and want to be a part of what should become the most respected Top 10 list on the internet.

Virginia Tech is overrated by everyone IMO. Where would they be without the miracle win at home against Nebraska? Cincinnati I know nothing about but I'm pretty sure hasn't played anyone. Miami is a joke. They look good...they look lousy the next week. Don't know who they play next but look around for a new #10 team. Probably their turn to look lousy!

LSU should be in the top 10 somewhere. All the other polls have them 10 or higher and losing to a Florida team by the point spread should not drop you much. That is my opinion that if you lose a game by the expected number of points, then why all of a sudden are you a worse team? Bizarre "logic" by the pollsters!

So you say this and then say

quote:

LSU should be in the top 10 somewhere.

Do you realize how hypocritical that is? LSU had miracle wins against MSU and Georgia. Two terrible teams. Va Tech has beaten 2 ranked teams and played the closest game so far against maybe the best team in the country.

quote:

Miami is a joke. They look good...they look lousy the next week.

They had one bad game against a top 5 team on the road in the rain. Theyve beaten two top 20 teams. You are making stuff up now.

First, Georgia is not a terrible team and was in the top 15 or so when LSU beat them. Second, LSU dominated the Georgia game in the stats and was leading on the scoreboard almost the entire game. Geez, that is ludicrous to even try to say LSU was lucky in that game. The MSU game could have gone either way with turnovers by MSU being offset by the bad snap on the .5 yard line that gave MSU 7 points.

Alabama beat Virginia Tech by the same number of points that Florida beat LSU by. Virginia Tech's lucky win against Nebraska was at home. LSU had 2 straight road games against MSU and Georgia. And as far as top 20 goes, what week are we talking about re: Miami. Is Florida State a good team that has now a losing record. How about OU that has already lost twice including to BYU in addition to Miami by 1 point with their starting QB out.

Once again, Virginia Tech and Miami are overrated and LSU should be near the bottom of the top 10 somewhere. Playing in the ACC is NOT the same as playing in the SEC. Ask Virginia Tech how the above mentioned Alabama game does. Oh, and for the record, LSU beat a Washington team in the same stadium where Washington beat USC!
