Is Jai Eugene the new starting left cornerback opposite of P. Peterson? What say you?

It was evident he was held then why was he not reinserted during the second half?

you know its funny that even espn announcers showed that hawkins jersey was grabbed and pulled that play rewatch it it really wasnt his fault if it was the other way we would have had the penalty on us

do you think we get the a "controversial no call influenced the play deal" like georgia got last week.

and that had nothing to do with him thinking we were in cover 2 when we weren't

chris's choices turned his body

Slowflow is right, Hawkins ran the wrong coverage. The call should have been made, but it didn't stop his momentum that much. Seems like he thought he had safety help.

No telling but Hawkins seems to get picked on quite a bit. But anybody opposite of Peterson will be picked on.

Also, I thought Eugene was beaten by his man on his interception. A bad throw is likely all that saved him.

doubtful...you don't hear many comments on no calls, especially since no ref was in position to make the call.

More evidence that you're a fricking idiot. At least watch Sports Center highlights before opening your mouth if your not going to watch the damned game.

He got held.. AND he ran the complete wrong-arse coverage. :)

Correct. Was his jersey tugged briefly? Absolutely! But the problem was his coverage, not a very brief jersey pull. I just hope they never call LSU players that closely...they would be penalized just like the opposition would.

The worst missed penalty was Chad Jones pulling the guy's face mask AFTER the WR has lifted his hand into Jones facemask which is called all the time along the OL/DL. As usual, the 2nd guy got the penalty

as opposed to somebody who doesn't know what "cover 2" or "safety help" means?

much like PP against UGA when that guy got behind him and Taylor had to save the TD

Hawkins is garbage. Period.

They put him on the wrong guys. It's obvious PP is five times better than he is. PP needs to be on the #1 receiver all the time if possible.

pretty much

it's a weakness of zone coverage. 1 guy can destroy it all

i mean the same can be true in man, but only if it's man free. and at least then you should be getting pressure

he still gave up after the hold! He was either expecting the flag or a safety, so he gave up... that's lack of execution and effort.

I think some players have more leeway for mistakes than others. When you are a marginal player one mistake gets you sent to the bench.
