re: What will it take?

I don't get all the JJ hate. I don't watch every single LSU game, but I watch a lot of them. With a better OL he'd be a star imo.

Honestly, he was the scariest QB I think we'll face all year. Ponder's decent, but that team's a joke.

Your coaches do need to do a better job of managing him. It was very interesting to see only, what, ONE screen called against FL's pressure? And it went for 10+ yards IIRC. The coaches didn't bother to try to neutralize the overpursuit with playcalls. Instead, the ran the option a couple of times and seemed to call a buncha middle-long pass plays that were doomed. Shoulda been easy to see that on tape.

FL typically uses "bend don't break" philosophies. Your O didn't help you out last night, but most teams are able to move the ball between the 20's reasonably well against us.

TV did a good job of showing it last night - FL's secondary is just insanely good this year. Now that the DL is coming along, it's hard to differentiate, especially against an O that's not able to get out of their own way.

What I'd worry about with your D is why they can't stop lining up in the freakin' neutral zone. That was embarrassing.
He got held.. AND he ran the complete wrong-arse coverage. :)
