The FAA also restricts the jets from flying lower than 1,000 feet above the ground, Llorance said.

Yeahhhh...the Bama 05 flyers were WAY below this.

EDIT:

I guess there was something to be said about those pilots getting hell for how low/fast they flew:

For comparison, Bama flyover in 07:

Keep in mind, the first vid was taken from the field, where the second vid is like halfway up the stadium

Because that is all they had up for training/willing to do it?

It would be cool if they could ever get a B-52 over Tiger Stadium...you would think it wouldn't be THAT hard with Barksdale right there.

MSU can have the entire air force flyover, with nuclear weapons going off like fireworks, and they will never live this down:

I was walking up a ramp at Bryant-Denny with a friend in the bowels of the stadium, when the flyover happened, the rumble of the concrete and sound was deafening..I was startled for half a second.

I don't remember the 07 one, was late getting into the game for that one, long walk to nosebleed seats.

Yeah, I have repeatedly said and stand by the opinion that the 05 flyover was one of the best ones ever.

Llorance said the only things that could stop the flyover from happening Saturday are bad weather or mechanical issues.

You do realize there are a required number of flying hours each month don't you? To use some of them to promote the military for events like this go a long way towards recruiting future military members.

I think the vast majority of Americans love to watch bad arse american planes and jets flying around. It breeds patriotism.
