on the list of mind-numbing coaching decisions by miles in his time at LSU?

is this as bad as trying to call a TO after an interception?

not going for 2 after the (very) late go-ahead TD against AU in 2007?

calling timeout and THEN reviewing an obviously non-overturnable call against Bama in 08?

thinking malleveto could DC a defense

and countless others

but i didn't fail

the sideline reporter at half owned miles. that's how bad his thinking was at that time period

there is absolutely no explanation for letting the time runoff with a first down possible and 1 TO

Dude, seriously, do ever just enjoy a win? It's always bitch, bitch, bitch with you. We just beat a ranked SEC team on the road, in Georgia, which hasn't been done by us since 1987.

SFP - I got your back on this one. I screamed bloody murder at the screen when Miles' brain was in a state of mush just before the half! I wanted to kick my dawg over it. That was pure unadulterated bone-headed stupidity!

I'll play. It is one of the dumbest fricking coaching decisions that I have EVER seen. It is, however, only slightly less stupid then that QB sneak formation on fourth down.

IMHO these are the two worst yet, but they are fresh on my mind so.....

Now move on. We're 5-0 in spite of the few horrible coaching 101 mistakes.

there are a few things miles COULD have done. letting time run out was retarded

the only more stupid decision would have been to punt

With I think 9seconds left, could LSU went for a 1st down with a pass on 4th down? if the pass was complete, the clock would've stopped and they could then set up for a closer field goal.

I don't think that we had any TOs left. We used two earlier in the half (on FG attempt and RS called one) and then the third one with just left than a minute left. Still, there was no reason not to let the clock wind down and the try a Hail Mary as time expired.

i am happy and upbeat

yesterday was horribly frustrating b/c we played poor, which can be debated

there is no debate about the stupidity of what miles did at the end of half

i believe his answer was "we didnt think we had the distance from there" she asked about a throw or a fg....didnt have the distance from there to throw it up?? they wasted 38 seconds all the way to the end of half..????they didnt even try...nothing im still happy we won though
