I bet you look in the mirror and chuckle at how funny you think you are.

I don't understand what you're trying to say. It's not like he's gonna suck in the NFL because he pushes off too much. That doesn't even make sense. But then you say the knock on him is that he pushes off.

You've pretty much agreed with me that he plays the game like an NFL receiver yet you whine that he does it. So I'm guessing you want the SEC to baby-fy football because AJ Green plays like a big boy and it's not fair?

You still don't have a point.

Green is widely known throughout the SEC as a WR who pushes off of the defender to create separation; many times it should result in a flag. Most of the time it doesn't.

You defined his greatness...in part.

You think the "great" ones NEVER got away w/ anything, huh?

By the way, Michael Irvin comparison, by somebody, is pretty good. Irvin was always pushing, or so it seemed.

There; the peanut gallery can be sated now since I went through the trouble of doing their reading comprehension for them.

:FAIL:

The kid is fricking outstanding! You abviously don't know much about football talent.

BUT, he was guilty of multiple offensive pass interference calls and got called for NONE of them. The officiating was home-cooked straight up. UGA folks can bitch all they want, but the BS ball spots alone were off the charts.

Oh, I do. You just don't agree with it. Doesn't make it any less valid.

Sure, I'll just beg forgiveness since you bring so much more qualification to the table.

I have been heavily involved in recruiting and coached special teams for a season on the college level. You?

I'll take your word for it, coach?

What I don't understand is, if you're being honest about your qualifications, why you'd disagree with me.

I said he's very good; I'm not ready to proclaim him great. If your acumen allowed for you to see what he "got away with last night", why would you be naturally inclined to disagree with me? He's in the mold of Randy Moss in that he's tall, lanky, pretty fast, and can out-jump a lot of DB's. But, there have been plenty of times in his career where the DB is step-for-step with him and he's pushed off to gain an advantage.

Whether it's called or not has nothing to do with his "greatness" as an earlier poster contended.

The kid can and has taken over football games. I recognize him for what he is and what he will become. There is a reason Chavis' primary focus was to have PP on Green 95% of the game. When he swapped sides, PP followed.

I don't need to substantiate my background to you. Trust me, I know more than you.

I totally agree, especially on the spots. Green's only catch when he and PP were one on one was their only first down of the first half, and was SO obvious, ref staring right at them.

Yet, in your own words, the officiating was biased toward his receiving yesterday? If you've followed his career, would you assert that yesterday is the only time this has happened?

Um, I never argued that he wasn't a good receiver and I never argued that he wasn't the best receiver on UGA's football team. You seem to be implying that I'm missing something that you aren't.

It is the Michael Jordan rule. You can't call penalties or fouls on him unless it is blatant bc he is a star. That just wouldn't be entertaining...

AJ Green is great dude. Top 3 in the country for sure if not the best in the country. End of story.
