Why would they expand a stadium that is only full for 2 games a yr. Doesn't really sound like a smart idea

i vote for expanding the south endzone with more suites etc and maybe make the seats wider than 5 inches.

There are plans to get rid of the road between the Stadium and the P-Mac. So by the time they do put an upper deck on the North endzone there will not be a road to worry about.

The south endzone will be connected first. I don't think the north endzone is ever connected. Ever.

I heard they will move the stadium back a few feet as not to interfere with the road.

Actually, I heard they were going to tear down the North EZ side to allow people to see the road better...

You can see that the south ends of both upper decks are closer together, curve around, and extend further down than the north side of them do. They were already planning ahead to close in the south EZ completely in 1999 when they were building the east upper deck.

If they do in fact expand again, I hope they fill in the south side by connecting the east and west upper decks and leave the north side alone. I love the stadium facade with the roman arches. Its one of the things unique to Tiger Stadium.

I read somewhere recently where a south side upper deck would bring capacity to around 105,000.
