As long as we don't turn the ball over, we have a chance to win every game we play

Good point. LSU beating MSU 4-0 in the turnover battle really blew that game open...

Not to be negative but a few of the turnovers we came up with were gifts.

Agreed. I don't get comments like this.

No, but one can be hopeful that this will turn around. One of the failures of last year's defense was the inability to create turnovers. LSU now needs to focus on capitalizing on the turnovers it creates.

we gave them the ball at the 1 yard line, missed an XP and a field goal

You could say that we lose without beating MSU 4-0 in the turnover margin very easily

Two turnovers on opponents side of the field...10 points

Two turnovers inside LSU's own 20 yard line 0 points. Its not easy to go 80 yards ya know ?

Really? go watch that absurd fumble by the back from UW. It was a bad hand off. Not forced by us. Did either of you ever play football or really understand the game?

I understand that everything that happens on the field is a result of all the hard work and preparation you do off of the field.

pretty sure a Tiger got his hand on the ball to knock it out. We still haven't had many turnovers offensively

I'm sure your years of pee-wee have instilled a technical understaning of the nuances of the game that few can grasp.

You're right, every play is the result of luck. LSU sucks. Every play that MSU had (including by the way, the errant snap) was the result of their superior skills.

Do you enjoy diarrhea of the mouth?

Yes.

When you create a turnover when the opposition is driving. You get the ball deep in your own territory. Getting a first down or two then punting, then holding the opposition to a 3 and out. Having them punt puts you in great field position.

So All I'm saying is you can't just look at Points off turnovers, Football is about field position.

Points you probably already know, but just take a step back and look at the whole picture.

Which ones do you feel were gifts and why?

The ones where the ball magically teleported from the opposing player to the lsu player.

No. I understand, and I agree. I was just trying to point out that the ability to create turnovers (which we did not have last season) is a good thing and it will eventually pay off (i.e., turnovers will eventually happen, and more often, at times that give LSU good field position).

I'm just pointing out positives (more for myself than anyone else in particular).
