For those that haven't been there in a while, what were you thoughts on Starkville? I graduated in 2001 and it has changed tremendously. I am always curious to hear other fans thoughts. Thanks for any feedback.

From a tv perspective, thats a beautiful stadium. I like the building complex off the endzone. really nice looking.

me and some friends were having this discussion. Starkville has come a long way since i last made the trip back in the 90's. Very nice campus, good gameday atmosphere around the stadium, love the big screen and the town has definitely livened up quite a bit. we had a great time!

I have been to Starkville 5 times my first was in 1999 (last time we lost). In 1999 the place was a shite hole.

This trip was tough because of the rain, but Starkville is much better now. Alot of new hotels and places to eat.

We ate at The Veranda after the game one of the best steaks I have ever eaten.

I hate that they moved the RV lot (but alot of schools do that now a days).

The Junction had a very "Grove" feeling.

Video board was the best thing about the stadium.

MSU should be accessed two 15 yard penalties at the beginning of each half for those damn cowbells. I'm sorry it is an artificial noise maker.

Last but not least MSU has great cheese. Next time you go you need to make it a point to stop and buy some from their dairy store.

The campus has really undergone a lot of improvements. It's a much prettier campus over the past few years. Even the town seems to have a little life developing. It's much better than a few years ago when every other storefront was vacant. I would still be bored to death if I had to go to school there.

The traffic situation was CRAZY. It took almost 2 hours just to get off the campus after the game. That was a new experience this year. I guess in the past most State fans had vacated the premises early. This game went to the wire and everyone stayed.

starkville is a typical rural college town, not much happening. The campus is nice, IMO MSU gets a bad rap in this area. The parking on game days is rdiculous.

We didn't get a lot of chances to go around before the game due to the heavy rains. We did find a great parking spot reserved for Bulldogs cause the cutie checking you in was too busy on the phone to notice our Louisiana plates lol.

Stadium was very nice, no problem with traffic getting out, bitch to get in. Scoreboard/Video was awesome. Piped in music sucked.

One nice thing I noticed was a lack of advertising and flashing/running banners around the stadium like it was Times Square. Everyone else has sold out.

Most of the fans in our upper deck were LSU but the few MSU fans around were good sports. One did tell me "you're not number 4 by any means" and I simply told her I agreed lol.

Starkville is exactly what I expected...I am comfortable in towns that size, so I have no problem with it...I actually think that with the university there, it is a pretty nice place to be...

the campus is very nice...seems to be improving all the time...the place was very well kept and nicely landscaped....

the stadium is middle of the road as far as collegs stadiums go...I have seen better, and I have seen a hell of a lot worse....your jumbotron should be the envy of all of college football...LSU's new one with it's advertisements looks like a goddamn iphone screen by comparison...

I found the state fans to be respectful and friendly...some even made me some corndogs after the game...

I see lots of complaints about traffic...I didn't feel that way...I think the traffic was nowhere near as bad as the traffic around an LSU game...I parked a quarter mile from the stadium, tailgated for a half hour after the game, and was able to drive out unimpeded....

very enjoyable experience...

the main thing that I can say about MISSISSIPPI is CLEAN, no trash on the road side campus was neat as can be and people were friendly, looked like a great place to go to school, all the old buildings are being upgraded, Starkville is a laid back southern town with character, hope that someday we have enough pride in our state to clean it up

From the TV perspective, that was one nice looking field, especially with all the rain they had before and during the game..I dont know if my DLP TV was just super hi def that day or what, but the field looked great!...
