The campus has really undergone a lot of improvements. It's a much prettier campus over the past few years. Even the town seems to have a little life developing. It's much better than a few years ago when every other storefront was vacant. I would still be bored to death if I had to go to school there.
The traffic situation was CRAZY. It took almost 2 hours just to get off the campus after the game. That was a new experience this year. I guess in the past most State fans had vacated the premises early. This game went to the wire and everyone stayed.

Love the scoreboard. But the curved walk ways underneath it, leading to the field look weird.
Pics or GTFO...

From a tv perspective, thats a beautiful stadium.
i thought it was an extremely ugly stadium compared to most SEC schools. It was a good time, met some good people. I found yalls atmosphere funny (more to do with the techno and yalls fans in my area)

Scoreboard:
Paths:
Wasn't a big fan of the commercials like I was watching at home, that kinda sucked. Also not a fan of our band being cutoff by commercials, piped-in music (I understand the band cutting off the other band, but piped-in music and commercials...oy)

this is what I wrote in a similar thread a few days ago:
---
Starkville far exceeded my expectations. I was expecting it to be some piece of crap place with doublewides everywhere and nothing to do except hit on your cousin. That's what I get for believing rantards. To everybody that said that kind of stuff, please don't hang out with me because you are probably miserable people
The Cotton District was really fun on Friday, the drinks were cheap, hot ladies everywhere and everything was close together. It was what Tigerland should be, but isn't
Tailgating was effectively ruined by the monsoon on Saturday...so I can't really comment on that. The stadium itself was okay. The cowbells were really loud and the jumbotron enormous. I was pissed about what was happening on the field, though I was happy we pulled out the W
The only assholes I met during the entire time were LSU fans. MSU people were respectful and friendly the entire time.
MSU is now my 2nd favorite SEC team. I plan to go back in 2 or 4 years

We don't.

starkville is a typical rural college town, not much happening. The campus is nice, IMO MSU gets a bad rap in this area. The parking on game days is rdiculous.

starkville is missing a ton of amenities that any college town should have.
It is Starkville, MS.

We didn't get a lot of chances to go around before the game due to the heavy rains. We did find a great parking spot reserved for Bulldogs cause the cutie checking you in was too busy on the phone to notice our Louisiana plates lol.
Stadium was very nice, no problem with traffic getting out, bitch to get in. Scoreboard/Video was awesome. Piped in music sucked.
One nice thing I noticed was a lack of advertising and flashing/running banners around the stadium like it was Times Square. Everyone else has sold out.
Most of the fans in our upper deck were LSU but the few MSU fans around were good sports. One did tell me "you're not number 4 by any means" and I simply told her I agreed lol.

I do what I can, lighting hurt the photo quality :( Also the first thing I did was take a picture of the scoreboard ... knowing it has been a hot topic

Starkville is exactly what I expected...I am comfortable in towns that size, so I have no problem with it...I actually think that with the university there, it is a pretty nice place to be...
the campus is very nice...seems to be improving all the time...the place was very well kept and nicely landscaped....
the stadium is middle of the road as far as collegs stadiums go...I have seen better, and I have seen a hell of a lot worse....your jumbotron should be the envy of all of college football...LSU's new one with it's advertisements looks like a goddamn iphone screen by comparison...
I found the state fans to be respectful and friendly...some even made me some corndogs after the game...
I see lots of complaints about traffic...I didn't feel that way...I think the traffic was nowhere near as bad as the traffic around an LSU game...I parked a quarter mile from the stadium, tailgated for a half hour after the game, and was able to drive out unimpeded....
very enjoyable experience...

OK. This has now been asked about 1000 times, so it sucks. Cow field.

btw, on behalf of the gripers of bus 4 I'd like to apologize for making people stop. It was indeed unbarably hot BUT I just wanted to get home so I figured I'd just survive the last hour.
eta: fwiw, I wasn't one of those complainers, my happy arse just wanted to get home and get some sleep and finish watching Mean Girls lol.

I love the campus. It's a very clean campus.

The good:
The campus was beautiful, the stadium was nice, and the score board was amazing.
The bad:
The cow bells are the most annoying things ever, and the loud music playing over both bands was garbage. The fans were fine before the game, but after the game they were assholes. My friend is on crutches and ppl (like frat boys and old ladies) were talking shite to him... Completely uncalled for.
