Be thankful

Just wanted to say that I lived in Maryland for 6 years and used to go watch the Terps play football. Every Saturday fans would pack the stadium to see their home team lose by a ton every weekend and yet they kept showing up.
Be thankful LSU is 4-0. Theres always a chance that this Saturday will be the day the team clicks and blows out its opponent.
I see very few REAL fans on this board. You should back your team no matter what. Be thankful that you go to bowls and win and are in Title discussion every year. Although theyve looked bad theyre still there with a chance to win it all if they get it together. Keep your fricking heads up and stop bitching like spoiled children. IF they lose a game then gripe but now show some faith.

Amen. It is getting to where I don't enjoy coming view the board that much anymore. Nobody will be undefeated and perfect every year for God's sake. Enjoy your team and try to be a positive influence and think about the things we have achieved that other schools dream of achieving.

Good Post
I was doing that right here 15 years ago during the Hallman era.
I wait all year for LSU football, I am going to do my best to enjoy it for what it is, not spend the entire season fustrated and miserable because played ugly but still won.
I remember when we used to be happy if we outplayed the other team, but still lost on the scoreboard.

I'm a real fan.
It's just to easy to be an azz on here and stir the pot.

LSU is 4-0 and the fans still don't show up. I can't imagine what the stadium is going to look like once they start losing.

Not an insult to you at all. But seriously. Think for a moment. Is it possible that this is EXACTLY why Maryland has always sucked at football and still does?

I am thankful, but for me personally, I don't want the coach to say one thing when we all know that there is a problem.
If we fix the O line, we fix the defense. If we can run, this will open the passing game and thus keep the offense on the field more, scoring more and keeping the defense off the field. It all starts there. How do we fix it? I would find the top 10 lineman and get a first group and a second group. At some point in the game early, start the second group and see how they do with the run/pass. At this point, we can't do much worse. I have faith that Jefferson won't turn the ball over.

I think that's right. MUCH of our issues reside on the offensive front. Not sure whether it can be "fixed." Hope so, but I keep wondering if maybe the guys up front would be better at more slant-type blocking, pulling and such. I'm no coach, so I don't know...just wondering.

Not an insult at all. They do suck. Im not a terps fan just went with friends to the games and was always amazed at how faithful they are with such a lousy football program. Im an LSU fan but we all could take some pointers from how they treat their team.

+1 That's the "Pretty Loss" crowd, I prefer the ugly wins. They also have very short term memory issues.
There are issues, but some folks love to make themselves miserable dwelling on them, they are just happier being miserable - bad news sells for some reason? The coaches watching hours of practice and film see the same problems and will do everything possible to win, it's their livelihood not their hobby.

I disagree. The FANS do show up. It is the fairweather whatever you want to call them that don't.
The ratio that show up v those that don't is toughly the same as those who try to stay positive on this board v those who don't care to or are able to.
