I don't think JJ should take another snap under center this season. All shotgun. Run a lot of the stuff UT did with Vince Young(spread option?). Line JJ and Shep up in the backfield at the same time. Snap it to JJ and he can give it to him or pull it and either pass or run with it himself. That way Shep's already back there to take direct snaps as well. Never let the defense know who's getting the ball(though it'd be JJ for the majority of the downs). Bring in Keiland or Scott on 3rd and long situations to pick up blitzes and/or catch the ball out of the backfield.

i think that would work really good. Sadly i think les is to stubborn to do that but hopefully im wrong

I'm in the group that thinks shep should get more touches but arguing the "7 ypc avg" is kinda not very strong as he has only run 11 times. Only last game was it that I thought, hey why don't we try to run it with Shep again...the other games, it didn't really matter.

Can't have a power running game when you've spent the last three years recruiting finesse blockers for the spread offense.

Put Shep in the game and keep the wildcat going.
