The joke is on us everyone. Les now has taken a huge sigh of relief that he got through the first four games of shitty opponents and has now thrown out the vanilla playbook. Get ready for a whole new style of Offense. This is why we call Les the mad hatter. You will not even recognize what's about to hit defenses. Think about it. Wouldn't you do the same??? I would not show my cards until the small fish were out of the way. Golly gee wiz, he is great coach. Treat him like it

We did nothing special these four games. It was the same plays we had seen from the Washington game. No trick plays either. Just wait everyone. You will all be calling W a rant genius after it's all said and done

If we had lost to MSU with this so-called vanilla playbook, would the fan base be justified in calling for Coach Miles' head? To me it's similar to a doctor committing malpractice. Many would find it inexcusable if a football team lost a game because the coach was intentionally holding it back.

Do whatever I could not to lose. We damn near lost to Moo State. If you're right on this (which I don't think you are) what sense would it make to not put some separation between yourself and the lower tier team and play like a top 10 team.

This is how the big 10 plays. We are just another big 10 team right now, until we open the NEW playbook up.

how I wish that was true. It may have a little trickery, but not much. He pretty much has said that the team isn't ready for much more. That's what I got from most of the lunches with Les?? He wants to get keiland and charles the ball more before shepard or did i misunderstand that><

We'll see a few added wrinkles and a few new things.....I feel bad for you if you think you're going to see drastic differences and some super powered offense though.

out your mind! just get over it and stop looking through purple and gold glasses!! Miles is trying to do too much and it is reflecting on how our offense is playing!! With the offensive line we have, we may go 7-5 if we are lucky!!

i do think there is validity to holding back some schemes and gameplanning hard for our make-or-break, top-5 opponents. also, letting JJ and other youngsters gain confidence with some tough wins w/ a simple set of plays makes sense.
HOWEVER, yeah, blocking is a serious issue that has nothing to do with the playbook. and the FB situation seems to be going nowhere good.
