I posted this in another thread, but feel it needs repeating:
I am a teacher, so history gives me perspective. While Georgia has not been a huge rival for us, they have been the Waterloo or the making of LSU coaches:
1979 - LSU is coming of a mediocre season but is loaded with talent and looking strong in spite of losing a titanic struggle with USC. LSU goes to Athens and loses, and while the rest of the season was "ok" the air was out of the balloon and Charlie Mac was done.
1991 - Curly Hallman starts his coaching career with a 31 to 10 beat down at the hands of Georgia. He never recovered, he never had the confidence of the fans or the team and the Dark Ages began.
1998 - DiNardo has "brought the magic back" to Tiger Stadium, is coming off a 9 win season with the most highly touted stable of running backs in the nation. LSU loses a one point heartbreaker to Georgia. Dinardo would only win three more games at LSU and he was gone.
2003 - Nick Saban's highly publicized win over Georgia helps to propel LSU to the BCS game where LSU hangs on to beat Oklahoma and change Nick Saban from good to legend.
2004 - Georgia gets revenge on Saban, embarrassing the Tigers before a national audience, and Saban starts looking for an exit strategy.
2009 - LSU is in transition, the fans are demanding, maybe unrealistic, and Les Miles has arrived at Waterloo, is he Napoleon or The Duke of Wellington? we will know in less than a week.

Nice wording

You totally contradict yourself with the Saban part of this. So each time we play UGA it's Waterloo??
Whatever. The only SEC team Les has not beaten is UGA. I hope this is enought to get the hatter fired up.
