under miles?

2005: no
2006: yes
2007: no
2008: f no

why do people repeat the myth that miles' teams always improve as the year goes on? we have done so in 25% of his years (and that was mainly due to playing our best RB finally).

2nd question: which myth is bigger, the one saying we always improve as the year goes on under miles, or the one that says miles is an OL recruiting expert who finds diamonds in the rough every year

Because truth is not relevant here.

Why is every thread that you start negative? I understand criticism, but you have one of the worst outlooks I have ever seen.

I would argue that we made some progress in 2005 but the toll of the schedule caught up with us against Georgia in the SEC Championship.

I agree with this post. People will say how we won the MNC in 07, we regressed a ton in the regular season.

And no, Les is no OL expert. Nick Saban teams always have better OL's.

And your opinion is meaningless.

You could argue that they progressed from the 1st 2 games of 2005 to the middle of the year, then slid off at the end of the year. The ASU and Tennessee games were awful in 2005, but then LSU improved to beat Auburn, Florida, and Bama before playing bad against Arkansas and UGA (although UGA was in the post-season).

I think we improved from Arizona State and Tennessee to Ole Miss and Arkansas.

Just because he has a high post count doesn't mean what he says is correct and has any merit. It just means that he is a loser and has no friends in life. IMHO.

Doesn't mean he's wrong either.

And he isn't entirely wrong on this.

This year is obviously different with a new offensive coordinator and new starters at key positions. I thought we would have shown more improvement so far, but I still think we will get better as this season goes on.

People might say that since LSU ended the year very well in every year in terms of the bowl game. The defense declined steadily during the national championship run, true enough, but the game against Ohio State, a talented, well coached team, was their best game of the year outside of Va. Tech. So while they didn't improve during the year, the final product in the bowl game was exceptional.

for those of you who repond to this weekly post by sfp, you are as big of a db as he/she is.

because he is not happy with being undefeated, and #4 in the country, and basically in control of our own destint bc LSU plays fla and bama, does not mean he needs to take down the fans of this board.

i, for one, am enjoying this position. ohio state has made it to more than one championship game by "winning ugly". will LSU go undefeated?? i really doubt it. but i guess sfp wont be happy until miles wins by the same margins as he does playing ncaa on beginner.

4-0 in bowl games

finishing strong >>>> losing the SECCG and your bowl game to the Utes
