I think the strategy so far was to give the #1 guy a chance to get as many reps as possible prior to SEC play. Maybe later in the season when we play lessor teams JL may be some reps but think we are just trying to get some consistancy going right now.

JL is our secret weapon.
Last year was just a smoke curtain to fool the defenses, so when he comes in, they think pick 6, but it won't happen this year.

I would rather see Chris Garrett the freshman than JL. JL just does not have game time skills. He throws a pretty ball, and shines in practice but with the OL we have, there would be more pick6's than last year.

JL throws a beautiful ball, but he makes horrible reads, JJ doesnt throw a beautiful ball past 30 yds...but makes good decisions to throw away or scramble and pick up yards.....JL can scramble as fast as Ciron ( no offense to ciron, he is probably faster)

myth, he actually releases the ball quicker. Which helps your OLine in two ways. One, keeps the OLine fresher by not having to repeatedly protect JJ when he gets happy feet. And two, doesnt allow the defense to put 10 in the box which allows for a successful run game.

Man, gotta love (sarcasm btw) how so many have written off a freshman QB who struggled. The JL haters apparently believe that he will NOT develop and improve, that the problems of last year (bad reads, forcing passes) cannot be fixed and will only be repeated. Pathetic.

Only time will tell and whether you like it or not, you can book it, Lee will see the field sooner or later whether by design or as a result of Jefferson getting banged up. Garrett is red shirting and will get his chance soon enough.

I would think we would want all the players to be ready to contribute if and when they are needed. I think JJ is doing a good job , but I would like to see JL redeem himself and get the monkey off his back. Also, I would like to see more of Shepperd. I think it would be awsome if we saw all three in a game against the toughest opponents, and I would pull for all of them.

but we can at least all agree that he can throw the ball accurately deep

Since when did a passer with a 53.6% completion rate be considered accurate.

You are clueless. Is he slow because he's white? He is not as fast as JJ, but he is not as slow as you think.

He's not slow. He's not a scrambling QB, but he is not a drop back passer only. More along the lines of balanced. He can get out of the way if need be.

i think Matt Flynn, Jake Locker,Colt McCoy,etc are an example that it's not cause he is white it's just that he isn't as mobile

Right.

Biggest diffence between JJ and JL deals with defensive pressure. When JL is pressured, he forces the ball. When JJ is pressured, he either throws it away or tucks it and runs.
