Geeks pretending to know what they are talking about--precious.
Pete Carroll has the state of California as a feeder program.
Carroll just lost to Washington, whom Miles and Crowton beat a couple of weeks ago.
Urban Meyer has the state of Florida as a feeder program.
Meyer's team lost four games in 2007 with a Heisman winning QB and talent that won the BCS in 2006 and 2008.
Mark Richt has the state of Georgia as a feeder program.
Richt has never won a BCS championship and keeps losing to inferior teams in Georgia's bowl games.
Mack Brown has the state of Texas as a feeder program.
Brown has won a BCS with Vince Young, but has done little since.
Jim Tressel has the state of Ohio as a feeder program.
Tressel won the BCS but lost to Les Miles and Crowton in 2007.
Bobby Bowden has the state of Florida as a feeder program.
Bowden was amazing in the 90's but hasn't done anything this decade.
Nick Saban has the sate of Alabama as a feeder, built LSU into an elite team, and has Bama exactly where Miles has LSU.
So, why are you talking about firing the coach who has produced the best recruiting classes in the history of LSU football, won a BCS championship in 2007, and is now coaching an amazing collection of very talented but young and inexperienced high school football players?
None of the above coaches are doing a better job than Miles, and we all know it. So, why are you pretending Miles should be fired?

So Meyer squandered talent because he lost 4 games with 1 returning starter on defense but Les is brilliant because you claim we are young?

How great is recruiting if you cant use the talent because your O is ineffective?
More so how long do you think that great recruiting will keep up if this continues to go on...
I agree Miles is a great recruiter but that does not win the SEC alone.

With Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Mark Richt, Steve Spurrier, Lane Kiffin, in the SEC, how many times do you expect each of these coaches to win the SEC in a decade?
And how many times do you think each should win a BCS championship in a decade?

I am not saying FIRE MILES!!!
I just want to know if people are willing to cut Crowton if we go 8-4.

8-4 will put you pretty far down the SEC West ladder...probably about 4th. That is assuming we win all the OOC games which is very likely this year.
So looking at it that way, I think 8-4 will cause a great deal of heartache. 8-4 isn't a bad record but Les will certainly be on the hot seat.
So yes, Les will have to evaluate everything closely and Crowton may be replaced if the current lack of offensive production is still the case at the end of the year.

doesnt matter if that is true about the stadium...8-4 following 7-5 is unacceptable regardless of the stadium..

Well, I mean Miles overthrows people, too. He's also blocking terribly on offense.

Would you agree the the SEC is only going to get tougher as the other teams start to catch up.
Look im not saying we sould win the West 5 times a decade but what I am saying is that if we sit back too long we could be the team playing catch up on O.

well shouldn't an alleged OL guru's offensive line not be completely terrible?

It is still too early for me to agree but the next 3 weeks will start to give us some ideas.

Would you you be happy with replacing Crowton and keeping Miles?

Considering the 2007 offense scored more points than any LSU team in its history, Crowton is doing a great job.
Because our OL is not dominating is the reaon some of you idots want to replace Crowton is funny.
Considering Shepard came to LSU because he he was sold on Crowton's offense and has been selling Crowton to other players, how much does this type of talk help future recruiting?
Don't tell me, let me guess: You idots don't really care about our recruiting program.
I think some of the LSU coach haters on here are really Bama trolls leading clueless RANTards around like the idiots they really are--good job.

Bad Cat.
If I could I would ask Shep what he thinks of Crowton ATM.
Selling someone is totaly diffrent than actualy delivering. FWIW I just want to see Miles take his damn hands off the playbook and let Crowton do the work...I want to see the kids have fun and be excited to play here.

I said 9 and 3 to 10 and 2 and I have seen nothing to change my mind on this. We have some significant concerns but so does everyone else I have watched this year. Again, the winner of the second west will have two losses maybe even three.

But I do guarantee that there are posters onthis site that have filed allegiance to Miles, an will cause an uproar if we cut ties with the Mad Hatter.
The Posipucker Cheerleaders not only have an allegiance to Miles, but to every LSU coach, athlete and administrator. These clowns were also defending DiNardo, Hallman, Archer and Stovall. That's their MO.(Motus Operandi) That's what they do and how they operate.
They can cause all the uproar they want though, because they are of no real concern. They make a little noise on message boards, but believe me, the LSU well heeled "Powers That Be", Alumni and REALI-Tigers aren't going to accept mediocrity. If you really LOVE L.S.U., why in the hell would you accept rank mediocrity in ANY aspect of LSU athletics?
And, on the Miles vs Crowton "Battle of Wills" scenario. Remember, LM is engrained in that Michigan-Big10-Bo Schembechler-Conservative" background, which is the antithesis of the current SEC.........
