Is Mississippi State any better than ULL?

Serious question.
My overall point is that the early season schedule this year is pitiful outside of I guess the Washington game.

I'm a ULL fan and yes Miss. St. has better athlets and would most probably beat ULL.

I would tend to think that Miss St. has better athletes and facilities. that says nothing about who would win a game. Perhaps they should play.

Agree! Nothing wrong with getting tuned up first before the meat of the schedule.
FWIW - I'm sure all Tiger fans are looking forward to UGA, FL, Auburn, etc.

i watched the auburn/state game and state's offense is unquestionably better than at any time under croom.
the defense on the other hand was atrocious. however, it's highly unlikely that carl torbush is going to have a bad defense for long. that guy can coach up a defense.

To answer the original question MSU is head and shoulders better than ULL.

i don't think USC will dismantle them...i think USC by 17 is a realistic outcome...Washington will move the ball and chew up the clock, its not like Ohio States offense was amazing and they nearly beat the trojans, i will say OSU has a stronger Defense but it'll be Aaron Corps first start so i can't imagine him putting up crazy numbers

How many times does it have to be said that they won a bowl game last year (beat Ole Miss, the team that drummed us in Tigers Stadium) and returned 18 starters. Vandy is a pretty good team, especially on defense.
