Highland out of the northgates by the police station, but pretty good. go early, they start running out of food around 1:30 and close at 3

they have different stuff on the menu everyday. only chicken fried steak, red beans, and white beans are offered everyday. I've been twice and had the smothered chicken, mac and cheese, and green beans. incredible. then I had chick fried steak, mashed potatoes, and cornbread dressing. everything has been on point. very good cornbread to.

I've had the catfish, fried chicken, smothered steak, red beans and rice, and white beans. All were very good. About $10 with a drink.

Great place to eat! Have been there at least two times a week, every week. The best smothered chicken,and pork chops anywhere,mustard greens and mashed potatoes were great. I have been looking for a good soul food restaurant after the silver moon closed and I have found it. Had a new item today (beef stew) wow that was awsome. you got to give this a try.

had beef stew, mashed potatoes, and green beans today. all were great. this place's location is a little out there but ya won't be disappointed.

no need to pack heat, it is RIGHT across from the police station. There are always cops eating there and usually lacks any sense of a seedy element.

Went today, very safe and nice place, not what you'd expect in the area.
Chicken fried steak was so so, mac and cheese and yams were awesome.
Red beans were great too.
