Exhibit A: Air Force vs Tennessee (2006)… LINK
(Notice Air Force’s 3rd down conversions and total yards)
Exhibit B: LSU vs Tennessee (2006)… LINK
(Notice LSU’s 3rd down conversions and total yards. Also notice the number of 3rd and 8's or longer that were converted in this game.)
Exhibit C: SEC Ranking in 3rd Down Conversions 2008 (Tennessee)
LINK
Exhibit D: Tennessee vs UCLA (2008) (Note: UCLA was down to their 3rd string QB, lost 2 starting O-linemen, lost starting RB and Craft threw 4 picks in the first half)... LINK
Exhibit E: UCLA vs BYU (2008, the week after playing Tennessee)
LINK
Exhibit D and Exhibit E should seal the deal.
Guilty or not guilty? What is your verdict?

So 5 games out of 15 years is a case?

Guilty or not guilty concerning what? Being a good D Coordinator? That's silly. Of course he's a very good DC. Is he one of the greatest? Nope. But he is good enough to help a team with LSU's talent win the SEC and NC. He did it at UT and he can do it here. That's all i care about.

That 2006 team was great, though!

Yeah and giving up this many tards to Wash doesnt exactly make me feel confident either. But thanks for the links to Chavis' greatest hits.

Get back with us after the Vandy game..What's Vandy's quarterback name?..You'll be saying, Damn, he's better than Locker...

LSU and JaMarcus converted about 108.76% of the third and longs that year.
JRuss was unstoppable on third and long.

you never got back to me the other day. You said the reason UT had a highly ranked defense last year is that the offense always turned the ball over giving the opponents the ball on the 50. You gave some bullshite on how its hard to give up a lot of yards because of this, yet he was still top 10 in scoring defense.
Pretty impressive for UT to be top 10 in scoring D despite the poor field position
quote:
His stats are VERY MISLEADING...Always padded them against cupcakes..And people harp on last year..Our offense was so awful..teams were always starting on our side of the fifty..he wasn't going to give up TOO MANY LONG DRIVES...
