who cares if he was, we are FAR FAR from ever going back to that era of LSU football...we may go 8-4, or 7-5 a few years here and there, but it will be a long while before we go back to 4-5 win seasons...so relax and enjoy the fact that we COULD beat anyone we play, even if we dont.
Back in those days, there were some games you went to and knew there was no chance...

I don't know what world you live in, but it only takes about 2 bad seasons, 8-5 for example, which is not a really good season until the big time 5* players don't want to come to your school anymore, even the ones that live in your home state.
Here's an example:
1985 9-2-1
1986 9-3
1987 10-1-1
1988 8-4
1989 4-7
1990 5-6
That didn't take long!
