Hurts me to say this, but if i was a national recruit I would have to think twice before I committed to LSU. How can two of the most sought after players in the country and maybe the biggest recruit is LSU history not play one down in a game that the offense looked vanilla at best. All I hear is Crowton is a genius, blah, blah......Yet that game plan was safe, no trick plays. I felt we played to their level instead of utilizing our players to their strengths. Yes we won and that is the bottom line, but I expected more from Crowton.

Randle got at least 3 or 4 snaps.

Great reply. Why dont you try pointing out a different opinion or go back to milking cows.....I am sure Sheppard and Randle could have come into play some where in the game plan....

They will get their plays...Miles probably didn't want them playing their very first game in a hostile environment. That probably changed if LSU had a big lead...but as it was, would you really want to stick a deer in the headlights in their very first game? Especially one so close?

They'll get plenty of opportunities this season.

Point taken on the youth aspect......I expected more from our team in the second half...maybe it was jet lag, time change, etc. but I felt both coordinators called a vanilla game at best. I think we all agree if Locker can tear us open by spreading the defense with not alot of players then Tebow is going to kill us......

OSU still gets their recruits after getting embarrassed every year. We will be fine. It was the first game. We got the #1 recruiting class last year after a not so great season.

Do you realize how many 4 and 5 star studs these teams have that sit the bench, but would star as freshman on other teams?

I am hoping part of the play calling is to conserve other schools in the SEC ability to scout LSU based on this game.
