Did not listen to any radio, any pre-game, halftime radio so my comments are only from what I saw on the tube.

Chavis looked like he was on another planet. This guy looked lost. If the announcers had not pointed him out and I had not seen his pic before, I would have thought.....why down this zombie have a headset on?

I think we are in trouble. I saw no enthusiam, no coaching, no nothing from this guy. I think we have a nobody. He couldn't even keep his headset on.

With all due respect they did put a for sale sign in Pelini's yard and they called Saban...Nick Satan.

the dude has had some pretty decent Ds, with less talent at Tenn...I doubt he is "lost" this is not his first rodeo.

relax.

He is overweight and not sure about his own ethnicity, give the guy a break.

Ok people, I think we need to lay off this kind of stuff after one game.

Chavis is NOT Will Muschamp.. That kind of sideline ranting works for Muschamp.. Chavis is not that kind of coach, never will be.

He is intense during the practice week... he can coach! When you are screaming, you aren't thinking...controlled emotion is maturity and wisdom.

I think we think a coach has to be intense in order for his team to be intense and focused.. That is a myth

Do you see NFL coaches doing this jumping up and down during the season?

Defenses are not what they used to be. I think we will get better. Better to be LSU than Choke la homo.

The thing that disappointed me with Chavis was his lack of interaction with other coaches and the players. Unless ESPN chose to put a camera on him only when he was vegged out, he doesn't seem to bring much fire to the program.

Maybe he needs to shave his head like Washingtons DC, he was on camera as much as the head coach.

Chavis was probably the best coach on UT's staff last year.

"3rd and Chavis" is a very real phenomenon. So is having the DBs play 10 yards off the WRs. It will absolutely drive you insane.

To Chavis' credit. UT's defense finished tied for 3rd in the nation with Bama last year. That was with UT's defense literally staying on the field 40 minutes a game.

I don't know how many plays UW ran last night but at one point it was nealy double what the Tigers had. It showed in the 4th quarter, most of the D was gased!

I think you need to go study your history on Chavis...I guess you forgot how bad the d looked when Pelini first took over then they came around, give the guy time...

Remember the 1st 2 games of 05 after Katrina. The defense looked bad but ended up coming around. Last night was tough situation. 2000 miles and a time zone away is not easy. Not to mention with a new coach you do not have any actual game footage of him in action to go off of. Anyone that had watched Locker play before he was injured knew that this kid had some ability. All in all, a win is a win!!

I was more concerned with Jordy's halftime locker room report than anything. Jordy reported no X's and O' or defensive adjustments by Chavis, just preaching to the defense that second half would be a test of "who wants it".

It was a bend don't break defense, almost no blitzing, it was weak. The defense will improve.

If Chavis does not substitute more it will be a long year. No team can play the power houses of the SEC with the same 11 guys on D the whole game. Bottom line our D could not get off the field and Chavis has to own that.

Yes. This is very concerning.
