I think if he loses 4, he is on the hot seat. 5 is 50/50 and 6 is 100% chance of being fired. Mediocrity should not be excepted at LSU with our talent and recent success.
I agree that 4 is "hotseat", but for 2010 (meaning losing 4 games in 2009, puts him on the hotseat going into 2010). You think 6 losses is an automatic firing? Or is that just what you would do.
I do not think he will be fired if he loses 10 more games. He did lead LSU to a national championship in 2007/2008. Now, having said that, even if we "only" lose 4 games this year, he'll have to mount a 10 or 11 win season to reverse the momentum against him. Miles is the victim of his own early success, sort of. Miles has already won 1.) As many bowl games at LSU as Saban did, 2.) As many National Championships at LSU as Saban did, 3.) 4 more games than Saban did at this same moment in the career, 4.) As many games against Florida at LSU than Saban did,
and we could go on and on. Nobody would have been talking about firing Saban after the Cap One Bowl, if he hadn't already quit.

I would fire him for five losses. That is not the right direction no matter how you slice it. Too much talent to dick around with five losses two years in a row. We would have to move before the program is in complete shambles. We shouldn't wait until we go sub .500 to make a change. If we do it at that point, then the new coach could come in while there is still talent.
