Soliciting opinions for where to celebrate. The following have reservations available per Open Table:
Cuvee, GW Fins, Iris, August, Mila, Lilette, Delmonico, Emeril's, Le Meritage.
Thoughts - Suggestions?

I was very impressed the only time I've been to Emeril's. Never been to the others.

I dont think you will have a bad meal if you choose to eat at either.

MiLa and Lilette would be very good choices for getting some food that's a little more creative/different.
Then again, the 4-course $40 special at August seems like a no-brainer as well.

MiLa or Lilette from that choice.

What are some of your favorite NOLA restaurants and why? Some of these places are VERY inventive and "gourmet"...just wondering your tastes.
I would rank them:
August
MiLa
Cuvee
Emeril's
Delmonico's
Fins is good if you really love trying different types of seafood.

You're not crazy about Lilette?

Delmonico would be my first choice from your list, with GW Fins being my least favorite.
Don't forget about Stella.

Lilette is very good....it's not in my top 10 though. I can't pinpoint why...it just not AS good as some of my favorites. There are just too many great restaurants in this town. It's said that most tourists never see our scene outside the Brennan's bubble. The Uptown scene on its on is the best dining scene between Houston and Atlanta...and its not even close.

This I agree with. So many great fine dining options with some great casual spots.

A couple years ago my friend from Charleston heard me say that...he said skip the downtown restaurants this trip...you have 2 lunches and 2 dinners to make me a believer...
Domilese's (fried shrimp with roast beef gravy)
Commander's (25 cent martinis make anything tase awesome)
Dick and Jenny's (this was back when it was really clicking)
Clancy's
His comment after the last meal at Clancy's was that he would never doubt me again...

The options have only gotten better since then. Coquette, Patois, Le Petite, Vizard's and Boucherie. Uptown dining is at its zenith right now with no signs of slowing down.

Thanks for the comments. I've been to all of them except Le Meritage and Lilette. Have been hearing good things about both and can't go wrong with any of the others. I think we are going to try Meritage - chef was just featured as one of the chefs to watch by a food magazine. And parking is easy at Maison Dupuy.

I have to agree...even the little things have improved...Theo's, Il Posto, La Thai, Surrey's, Blue Plate, Avenue Pub, etc.
