I did catch it...no need for us to get offended, as it was completely complimentary....actually hyping the replay of the LSU-UW game....they ended by saying that if we were winning, there would be no QB controversy....I agree...

I didn't catch it. However, if it was Tim Brando, then Rantards REALLY have no reason to get their panties in a wad, as there's no question about Brando being biased against LSU and possibly trying to hurt the program. He's from Shreveport and always, demonstrably been a friend to the LSU program. Everybody has been hyping Shepard since he was a sophomore in HS - Timmy's just getting on board.

ETA - In fact, Brando was one of the leaders of the "Why Not LSU?" movement during the conference championship weekend in 2007. National media figures helped drive the polls to put LSU in the big game against tOSU.

1) Brando quoted Spencer Tillman
2) Solomon Wilcotts said that is a lot of hype to live up to
3) LSU fans figured out a way to take a big dirty crap on a compliment.
4) It's all good, chill.

If we're winning there will be no controversy.

...but, will see the field in more games than our "second string" QB.

The same Rantards who are bleating over and over again that RS can't improve his game and become a starting QB in the SEC are the same ones who claim that surely JLee will improve and why don't we give him a chance. I think they are also the same ones who claim that Tebow is a great passer. Ahh, the Rant.

Shep is a truely special player, but I don't think he will take jeffersons job.

He will take lee's though.

These guys don't do their own research. That was a direct quote of Spencer Tillman on the college special last week, for those that saw it,evidently this guy did.

Tim Brando said it. Tim Brando also hosted that special and attributed the quote to Spencer Tillman.

The real controversy will be 2 years from now when Shep will be a junior and Jefferson a senior.

um, no

there would only be one if JJ left a year early and shep ingested magic passing dust for 2 years

and chris garrett may have to die in there

a. lee is a passer who is a much better passer than sheppard now. he'd have to go backwards to meet shep

b. lee doesn't deserve a chance b/c of JJ. shep doesn't deserve a chance b/c of JJ also.

c. tebow isn't a great passer, but he can make throws for that system. we don't run that system

Early Doucet and Jared Mitchell were fundamentally better passers than Shep. Just move him already.

Use him like Trindon, Perrileaux, and Tebow (his Freshman year). Use him in the Wildcat like McFadden. He can play 10-12 offensive downs per game and make an impact.
