If Kodi Burns is Auburn's starting QB to open the season, LSU can count add 1 to the win column.

With Todd or Caudle, we at least have a pulse.

Bye.

Same goes for Rollison. It's VERY VERY seldom a true freshman comes in and is successful enough to lead a team with talent as Auburn to a winning season.

Makes you glad LSU has never been in that position...

Burns looked good against Clemson two years ago in the Peach Bowl

He is twice the athlete the others are, but he is just not the man for that system

But with that said, all three suck ...Todd is not the answer either

I never understood why Tubbs (and I like Tubbs as a coach) brought in a spread guy, played and won with Burns in the Peach Bowl, then decided to play a drop back guy for the following season. It just never made sense to me.

ETA: I am not sure Burns would have made last season any better, just saying...

Crazy4LSU - Watched film. Basically easy throws being made looked like a LOT of effort from Kodi, and Caudle looked 1000x better.

With Caudle or Todd (healthy Todd), we will be fine at the QB position. With Burns, I'm mailing it in for this season, because we're dead.

That being said, I think Malzahn will either put a healthy Todd, who probably is the best of the 3, or Caudle if Todd's not healthy.

Either way, with any injuries to our linebackers, Charles Scott is gonna give us a big d in the arse on October 24 (I believe).

You're right. Kodi looked bad in the spring game. The one big pass he made to Fannin should have be picked off.

Malzahn said yesterday he's looking for a QB for the Wild formation. Maybe that's a hidden message that Kodi is out. I think he's a good kid, but he looks like Mr. Roboto trying to throw the ball.

We're going to struggle this year, but should be better than last. Getting to bowl game should be our first goal and look to contend again in 2010.

I nominate this for the Aubbie Post of the Year. The logic, sanity and sensibility of this post is crisp and stunningly sound. I am numb.
