Anyone else watch this show? I'm absolutely hooked, but don't know anyone else who watches it.

I see it as kind of a redneck version of Antiques Roadshow.

I kind of like the show, but I really don't like any of the guys on the show.

I started watching it a few weeks ago. Pretty good show. A friend of mine owns a pawn shop, and he told me, you would never believe some of the shite people bring in to him.

I love it, it seems like a really cool job. Granted im sure for ever cool piece someone bring in they get about 40-50 of absolute junk.

And obviously stolen items.

Yet another show that contributes to the history channel completely ignoring its original mission.

I agree. While I like Pawn Stars, it should not be on the HISTORY Channel. They should stick to History and lay off the reality/futuristic shows. Create a separate channel for those.

That's the only issue I have with the show. Its fun to watch but it doesn't belong on the history channel even if some of the pawned items have an historical significance.

I don't mind Pawn Stars on HC because they're basically dealing with history on a weekly basis.

I've only watched a couple, but they've gone into how you would identify and value a 19th century cannon and rifle, 15th century armor, Native American tribal items, fine art, a top selling boat from the 80's and a Ms. Pac-Man machine.

That's better suited for the channel than truckers driving over ice.

I love that show. The son is a waste of space though. He needs to be smacked in the mouth

Good episode this weekend. The dad is a great character. The grandpa's tip jar was a bit annoying.

I'm guessing that they do some more safety checks on these weapons prior to letting Chumley fire them off.

Cool show. The old man gets annoying after a while but for the most part I like the show. I really liked when the indian man brought in the spirit totem with a deer head and a chicken leg and said it was hundreds of dollars

but dont they have a premium version that you have to upgrade your cable/satellite service for? so then it would make sense to not have the best content on the generic history channel .... get what ya pay for

His friend maybe.

The son made them about 10-15k on a Chris Craft boat he negotiated. The dad was super pissed about it b/c he said there's not money in boats, but it was a nice score.
