I had heard this team was good but I had no clue how good this team was...

LSU 10-0 (2-0)

10-3-08 LSU 41 New Orleans YMGC 0

10-11-08 LSU 81 Jackson Barracks 5

10-17-08 LSU 26 Texas A&M 0

10-26-08 LSU 55 Rhodes 0

10-31-08 LSU 10 Auburn 2

11-7-08 LSU 50 Mississippi St. 0

11-10-08 LSU 89 Baylor 0

11-16-08 LSU 32 Haskell Institute 0

11-23-08 LSU 22 Louisiana Tech 0

11-26-08 LSU 36 Arkansas 4

That's LSU 442 Opponent 11

Defense had 7 Shutouts.

Offnese averaged 44.2 PPG.

This team must have been fun to watch!

they were known as the "point a minute" team. i think it was 442 points in 460 minutes of play

Lol...81 against Jackson Barracks, 55 against Rhodes, 89 against Baylor...

Nice to see that 100 years later Auburn was still carrying on the tradition of playing games with under 12 total points scored.

LSU's Defense only gave up 3 points with 4 Safties.

Scoring was different back then.

I always believed LSU should lay claim to the national title for 1908.

The points given up by the 1908 team:

5 on a 105 yard touchdown off a fumble recovery in the Jackson Barrcks game.

4 on a field goal to Arkansas

2 on a safety to Auburn, when a fan knocked Doc Fenton out just after he recovered a block punt.

Aggy says their 1917 and 1919 teams that were not scored upon are better. Just ask them.

The football field of 1908 was 110 yards, mid field was the 55 yard line.
