But seriously a second division team. 1860 Munich has some history, but it still is a second division side. Here comes da Coop contingent.

According to the Coop-fanatics on this site he would have been starting at ManU if he would have stayed. What a joke. When are they going to get it? As much as this pains me to say, Ching( ) is actually better right now.

I'm waiting for KC to blow it up overseas, get his dual citizenship, leave team USA, join Germany and win the world cup. That will shake all the haters off.

Sorry brah, he's locked into the US National team. He's played in a legitimate tournament and in qualifying.

good
hopefully he gets a lot of PT and if he really does have the talent, he should be moving up in a few years

Now who's the ruhtard? You have no idea what you are talking about. Even if it was possible for him to play for Germany, he would NEVER be a top four striker for Germany.

I wonder what the terms of the deal are. I know he was offered over a million dollars a year by Rosenborg, but I have a tough time seeing a second division side matching that kind of salary. Yet the MLS turned down Rosenborg but accepted this bid
BMac pretty much said that Cooper was gone in a thread a few days ago, but I figured he would have joined a small Bundesliga team instead. Surely Kenny had some first team offers out there.

1860 isn't a bad spot for him, he should get a real shot at starting and they are a decent side and he'll get to play in Allianz Arena.

henderson, just curious but do you know why do german clubs name themselves numbers?
Posted on 7/31/09 at 12:08 pm to Meursault
An important year in the club's or city's history. For instance Hannover 96 was formed in 1896.

It's usually when their club was founded, just read up on 1860. They were created in 1848, then banned in 1849 by the Bavarian Monarchy and established again in 1860. Their actual name is TSV 1860 Munchen.

Kenny Cooper gets to play all of his home games in Allianz Arena, that's so fricking awesome.

check out the kit he'll be wearing
And a cool fact for you fellows. Allianz Arena can be lit up 3 different colors. When 1860 Munich plays, it's lit up blue. When Bayern Munich plays, it's lit up red. When the German National Team plays, it's lit up white.

1860 is my new favorite club. its a sad sad day for the MLS now that the face of their league is gone. dallas will never forget you KENNY. prove all the haters wrong. good luck COOP

Does anyone know how much 1860 had to pay for Cooper, both in terms of yearly salary and transfer fee? I have a tough time seeing MLS accept this when they keep turning down Celtic's $2 million dollar bids on Shalrie Joseph.
