White has been waiting on a Texas offer since the recruiting process began which isn’t likely to happen with the Longhorns holding three wide receiver commitments and waiting on Darius White. White didn’t attend any camps this summer and will likely wait to make a college decision until after his five official visits are taken. Alabama is almost a certainty to receive one of those visits with LSU and Nebraska also being strong candidates for a visit

Any idea how hard you guys are going after him?

Won't be a Tiger unless we plan to start playing WRs on the Offensive and Defensive lines. Look for him to go to OK.

The only way we look hard at him is if Reed goes elsewhere as does Wright.

I think you are all underplaying White's ability a bit.

He is a top slot wide out in the country. He is a take at WR IMO.

Even with the talent next year, he isn't a guy you pass on.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks for the responses, though.

If we get Reed and Wright he will be a guy we pass on.

Let's put it this way. I like Bama's chances better than LSU's chances. I think we will slow play him depending on what Trovon does but my guess is that he will tire of waiting on LSU.

you definitely don't "pass" on this guy. but will he want to come to LSU if we have Davis, Reed and Hunter.

Also, you don't let him go to a SEC west competitor.

Finally, one of his teammates (Flowers, 2011) has a LSU offer and is rated the #3 prospect in the state of texas by texas rivals website.

the #3 player in texas is almost always a 5 star player.

How about Flowers and Collins on left side of line.

White > Wright.

I am not even sold that Wright wants to come to LSU. I think TT has just as good a shot as anyone.

Huh, what you talking about Willis?

Ah, you're talking about a 2011 recruit.

Why do people keep saying Reed and Wright. I don't think we consider another receiver if we get Reed. If we did than i don't think we would take Wright over White. I totally agree w/ Lynx that we are really under estimating White. White is a game changer, and if he wanted to play for the Tigers than i don't think our coaches would deny him that chance. We want a guy for the slot, and he might be the best.

Not saying Wright is better than White. I am saying if Wright commits along with Reed before White ever pulls the trigger we won't have a spot for him. Considering the other WRs in this class he is a guy we can afford to pass on for sure.

Seems like a LSU / Christian Michael deal. Highly rated player that they are just not sold on. I haven't heard a whisper about White to LSU.

I don't think we've ever felt we had a decent shot at him until now.

We've always had a good shot at him.

They just aren't going to go after him hard bc they would rather have Reed.

Do we know this for sure?

I don't remember reading many reports on any paysites to give a clear picture of how hard we are after him.

Well, he's from Hou, Tex isn't recruiting him, he expressed his like for LSU in the beginning, and kids from their typically like to stay close to home. We've seen that story before, and it often has positive endings.

White will go to Oklahoma or Alabama, LSU is distant third. I think he goes to Alabama. Strong relations between Alabama asst Bo Davis, former asst coach at North Shore, and head coach at North Shore, Coach Aymond. Too many receivers at LSU.

no way we take this guy unless we miss on Reed or lose Justin Hunter

I know its difficult to pass on a guy of his talent but that is what happens when you take these early commitments (of which are very good and Id take over White anyway).
