where have some of you had a wedding reception in baton rouge?
any places that were great? places to avoid?

I've been to a couple at Oak Lodge. It was a great atmosphere and the food was VERY good.

had mine at Boudreaux's....food was excellent - accomodations were great

I had mine at Boudreaux's, amazing food, great atmosphere and they take really good care of you
We had Shrimp and Grits at our wedding, and I was told they have now added it to their menu because it was so popular

The best reception I've been to was at White Oak Plantation. I'm sure it cost a pretty penny but the food was great and the atmosphere was top notch.

We had ours at De la Ronde Hall mid-90's. Excellent food, awesome place, but not really big (we had about 130 people there).
White Oak Plantation is really nice, but pricey.
LSU Falculty club is a great location, but the last few weddings I went to the food was just ok.
I've heard from a mother-of-the-bride that the Lake House, although pretty, has not-so-great service. She was really disappointed in them.

I didn't care for White Oak.
