before last season it was pretty apparent that replacing leadership would be a huge issue, and I really didn't see some of the seniors fitting the role well...DByrd, Ricky Jean-Francois, Curtis Taylor. Of course all sports have stories of leadership and discipline problems after championship seasons, and hopefully this is behind us.

Also, I know many LSU fans (and most Rantards) want Miles to come out and trash the defensive staff last year, but personally I think he made the change with a ton of class. It really won't take much for the D to improve, just knowing their assignments and tackling a little better will probably cut quite a few points out.
