Anyone know if that is accurate? Can we send two recruiting nerds to Selma with a tape measure and a stop watch?

I don't see it in this article, but I read a write-up from an Alabama paper that said that his high school team finished 5-5 last season, mostly due to injuries, and the compete in 5A - the second toughest level in the state.

It did mention that Blackmon suffered nagging injuries last season. So those stats may be from limited action.

Do we really even need to try to justify why this guy got a scholarship. We had the number 1 or 2 recruiting class last year, depending on what site you look at, and Miles has proven to me he knows what he is doing.

This is one of the most awesome quotes ever made by a recruit!

Blackmon’s performance at this week’s LSU camp impressed coaches so much they offered him the scholarship

The circle of life for the Dexter Blackmon family of Selma apparently is going to be played out in Baton Rouge, La.

This opening sentence makes it sound as if he and his entire family will be eaten by carnivores upon arrival in Baton Rouge.

He definitely worked with Brick at the camp. Brick would speak up if he didn't want him.

Sounds more like DT material than DE since we already have two DE this year and three last year and three DT last year.

I only say this because Rivals has him listed as a DE.

When they were working out in groups, Coach (Ron) Cooper was leading the defensive linemen,” Blackmon Sr. said. “Coach Miles was watching the drills, and he stepped in and took over. I was impressed with that.”

Who said Miles' can't "coach" and is only a good "program manager"

How about the quote by the reporter..."Verbals are Non binding and national signing day is a long way away". Sounds like an Alabama reporter saying...."Don't worry it's only a verbal and little nicky has plenty of time to steal him".
